Facts

On March 5, 1998, defendant Andrew Harris ran a stop sign at Pearl and Kenturky in Denver County and caused an accident which injured Maggie Martinez.

Settlement Discussions

There were ongoing discussions at trial. The defendant's last offer to settle was in the amount of $6,000.

Injuries

The plaintiff alleged complaints of headache, pain at the tempromadibular joint, back and neck pain with burning and restricted range of motion, constant numbness into the right leg, sciatic nerve and neck pain. Martinez was treated at the Porter hospital emergency room where she was released to the care of her PRO doctor. Dr. Eldrige began conservative treatment and ordered an MRI due to neurological concerns. The MRI revealed disc involvement in the cervical spine.
