Facts

The plaintiff, age 53, was a territorial manager for Revlon who fell from a ladder in the warehouse area of a
Longs Drug Store while retrieving boxes for a display. The plaintiff underwent back surgery for a herniated
disc and also sustained knee injury. The doctors testified that future surgery would be necessary. The plaintiff
was not able to return to work for two years and then work only part time.
