Facts
The plaintiff alleged that she tripped and fell in the street, suffering injuries, at the intersection of Pico and
Beverly next to her parked vehicle. The road surface was uneven and there was a drop in the asphalt
approximately four-inches deep and four-feet long.
The plaintiff contended that the condition of the road was dangerous and that the city had notice of this.
The defendant contended that the condition was not dangerous when used with proper
care, and that, in any event, the plaintiff had failed to establish actual or constructive notice.
