Facts
Rick Seawright, a 47-year-old carpenter, was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by Candice Tucker when it crashed. Tucker had consumed alcohol before the crash. Seawright contended that the single-vehicle crash was caused by Tucker's intoxication, speeding and reckless driving. Tucker claimed that gravel on the road caused the accident.
Injuries
Seawright suffered a C7 compression fracture, leaving him a quadriplegic for two months and a paraplegic permanently.
