On Sept. 22, 1995, plaintiff Deborah Hittle, a 42-year-old janitor, claimed her vehicle was struck from the rear by the defendant in a low speed collision on the off-ramp from state Route 512 from Interstate 5. The plaintiff was previously involved in two other traumatic events within one year prior to this accident and was undergoing medical and chiropractic treatment for the previous events. The plaintiffs brought this action against the defendants based on negligence.
