On July 8, 1995, plaintiffs Angela Rowland, a 34-year-old mail carrier, Raymona Rowland, her 12-year-old daughter and Necole Horton, a 15-year-old girl, were traveling on Cherry Street when the defendant attempted to make a left turn at an intersection where no left turn was allowed. The defendant sideswiped the plaintiff's car causing the left front bumper of defendant's car to come in contact with the left rear bumper of plaintiff's car. The plaintiff's car sustained $370 in damages. The defendant's car sustained $165 in damages. The plaintiffs brought this action against the defendant based on negligence. The defendant admitted liability, but disputed the nature and extent of the injuries.
