Facts

St. Jude Medical Inc. filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Volcano Corporation involving medical device technology that was used to diagnose heart problems. St. Jude claimed that Volcano infringed on its patents, while Volcano claimed St. Jude's patents were invalid.

Result

Volcano prevailed in the lawsuit after a federal district jury found that it did not infringe on St. Jude's patents.
