A class of individuals who purchased Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal or Cocoa Krispies Cereal between June 1, 2009 and March 1, 2011 filed a lawsuit against Kellogg Co.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs alleged that defendant falsely advertised that its cereals supported the immune system, and that defendant failed to have proficient clinical proof regarding this claim.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant argued that it did no wrongdoing.

Result

The parties reached a settlement for $2.5 million.
