Facts

On Dec. 11, 1996, plaintiff Patricia Connors, a 63-year-old graduate student, parked her car in a parking lot in order to walk down a sloped driveway, cross a street and do volunteer counseling at defendant counseling center. On her way to the center, in very wet weather, she slipped on the downward slope of the driveway to the parking lot, fracturing her knee. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence and premises liability theories of recovery.
