Facts
Plaintiff Zachary Kinney, 24, resided at a Los Angeles apartment owned by defendant Jeff Green and managed by defendant LRA Inc. In February 2003, the plaintiff parked his car in the apartment building's gated parking garage and began walking toward the lobby. The plaintiff noticed two young men enter the parking garage from the lobby. After entering the garage, one of the men struck the plaintiff in the face with his fist and forearm. The plaintiff was struck several times and mugged.
Settlement Discussions
The plaintiff made a C.C.P. Section 998 demand for $29,999, raised to $95,000. The defendant offered $3,000.
Injuries
The plaintiff suffered facial trauma, contusions, a jaw injury and bruises. He also suffered body aches and residual dizziness.
