Facts

Bombardier Capital Inc. claimed that in 1999, Vladimir Podlipskiy signed a lease at American Custom Coach guaranteeing payment for a Lincoln Town Car limousine, which was originally financed through another finance company whose lease agreements were assumed by Bombardier. Bombardier claimed that Podlipskiy took delivery of the vehicle. It sued Podlipskiy for breach of contract, attempting to recover the amount of the lease.

Damages

The plaintiff sought $35,000 in damages for the value of the lease.
