Facts

The plaintiff, Lyn Poulsen, a 62-year-old pet sitter, received substantial injuries when she was bitten by the defendant's unleashed dog. The incident occurred at an Irvine park while the plaintiff was taking a client's dog, Riley, for a walk. The plaintiff noticed the defendant's dog approaching without a leash and she called out for the defendant to put a leash on her dog. The defendant's dog attacked Riley and the plaintiff suffered several bites to her left forearm when she tried to separate the dogs.
