Facts
On October 29, 1989, Plaintiff Denise Tapparo, a 42-year-old respiratory therapist in the course and scope of her employment, pushed a hospital ventilator to the ICU unit at Parkview Community hospital. The wheels of the ventilator got caught in allegedly puckered carpeting which had recently been installed by Defendant Terry Turner. The ventilator tipped over, and in righting the unit, Plaintiff alleged she wrenched her back. Defendant Carol Hanson, an interior designer, had referred Turner to the hospital for the installation contract.
Settlement Discussions
Defendants contend that Turner offered $25,000; Hanson offered $5,000; and Plaintiff made no firm demands.
