A class action was filed against Best Buy Co. on behalf of eight current and former employees and one job applicant accusing Best Buy of infractions that ranged from denying job assignments and promotions to African-American, Latino and female employees.

Result

Best Buy agreed to settle the matter for $200,000, and agreed to implement processes designed to improve diversity in management.
