Facts

The plaintiff, age 59, was employed by defendant as a registered nurse for 24 years. She was lead or supervisor
for 19 years. In mid 1998, the plaintiff's lead duties were consolidated with two other departments, and her
position was eliminated. The plaintiff was returned to R.N. position.
The plaintiff claimed that these changes occurred while she was on medical leave. The person, who assumed
the plaintiff's prior duties was an R.N. of age 39. The plaintiff continued as an R.N. for three months and then
quit her job.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff demanded $150,000. The defendant offered $12,500.
