Juxian Modern Organic Ginger Company Limited asserted that Yong Ming International Group Inc. and Yong Zhong placed orders and sold Juxian's ginger without making proper payments on the invoices.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended that it contracted with the defendant for payment in exchange for shipping the ginger. Plaintiff also claimed that the defendant entered into a written agreement to pay the outstanding balance and failed to perform their obligations under the agreement.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant cross-complained against Juxian, Modern Trading, Zhi An Liu, and Na Ma, claiming breach of contract, interference with contract and prospective economic relationship, as well as unfair competition.

Damages

The plaintiff claimed $110,102 in damages, including interest, attorney fees, and costs. The cross-claimant claimed more than $500,000.

A verdict for plaintiff was reached amounting to $110,102 plus interest. The plaintiff also received $146,017 in attorney fees and $16,750 in costs. The cross-claimants received nothing on the cross-complaint.
