On March 18, 2000, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the plaintiff, a 35-year-old medical records transcriber and the mother of one child, fell on the steps of the walkway on the defendant's premises while a guest at a wedding reception that was taking place.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff submitted a demand of $25,000; the defendants offered $5,000. There had been a prior arbitration award in favor of the defense and the subject trial was as a result of a motion for trial de novo filed by the plaintiff.

Injuries
