Donaciano Carranza was driving southbound on Maple Street in Livermore on May 15, 2009, when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Brian Alcaraz at the intersection of Third Street.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Carranza filed suit against Alcaraz, alleging motor vehicle negligence. Carranza contended that Alcaraz failed to stop at a stop sign and yield the right of way.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Alcaraz admitted liability, but disputed the extent of Carranza's claimed damages.
