Facts
The plaintiff, a 33-year-old compliance officer, stated that he was stopped at a red light at the intersection of
Ximeno and Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, Calif.
He alleged he heard an impact behind him and then felt an impact to the rear of his vehicle.
The plaintiff only felt one impact to the rear of his vehicle.
The defendant testified that she was traveling on Ximeno towards the red light and
attempted to apply the brakes while driving her van. Since the sole of the boot she was wearing
was slippery, her foot slipped off the brake and she struck the middle vehicle, driven by Jennifer
Salon, and allegedly pushed that vehicle into the plaintiff's vehicle.
