Facts

SK Hynix Inc., a memory semiconductor supplier, and others filed a declaratory judgment action against Rambus Inc., seeking a judgment of non-infringement and invalidity of a number of Rambus patents. Rambus counterclaimed for patent infringement. Rambus is an innovative technology solutions company that brings invention to market.

Result

The parties agreed to settle by entering a patent license agreement for this case and other disputes between the parties, which includes a license to certain Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) products for payments of $12 million per quarter for the the next five years.
