Facts

Joshua Goldstein, a screen writer, underwent a podiatric procedure at Medstar Foot & Ankle Center, performed
by Dr. James Wang, an independent contractor for Medstar.
The plaintiff had presented to Medstar with an ingrown toenail and a two-year history of a sore instep on his
left foot after having banged it on a curb while jogging. The defendant doctor diagnosed the plaintiff with
posterior tibial tendon dysfunction and unilateral flat foot condition.
Plaintiff Goldstein filed suit for medical malpractice as a result of the procedure, claiming
misdiagnosis and mistreatment.

Damages

Continual pain and disability due to unwarranted surgery.
