Facts
In November 1993, the plaintiff, a 38-year-old lieutenant and 15-year veteran of the Bureau of Prisons MDC, was terminated for his participation in the processing of the sexual harrassment complaints of other employees. He advised employees to send their complaints in writing for presentation to a supervisor at the Bureau of Prisons and the EEOC. The plaintiff claimed supervisors who were implicated in the harassment complaints began a campaign of retaliatory adverse employment actions, including unwarranted suspensions, a demotion, attempted transfer and eventually termination. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on wrongful termination and violation of Title VII theories of recovery.
