Facts

On April 1, 1994, John Levandofsky, an unmarried 32-year-old certified aircraft welder, was traveling on a Yamaha V-Max motorcycle when Defendant's dump truck made a left turn in front of him. The truck was owned by Defendant Bock Company and driven by Fernando Rodriguez Perez. The collision killed the motorcyclist. Plaintiffs were Charles and Lena Levandofsky, the motorcyclist's parents; both were over 75 years of age; John had been very close and supportive in his relationship with his parents.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiffs contend their demand was a 998 in the amount of $500,000 reduced to $475,000 at trial; and Defendants offered $75,000 increased to $76,000 at trial.
