Facts

Plaintiff Andres Torres, an instructor at Mission College, attended a funeral of the son of defendant Laura Esqueda. The plaintiff made a lengthy oration at the funeral that upset the defendant. Defendant Janice Silver, another instructor at Mission College, comforted defendant Esqueda. Soon afterwards, yet another instructor at Mission College inaccurately informed Esqueda that the plaintiff was psychologically imbalance and not really a teacher. Esqueda repeated the statements to the daughter of the plaintiff's friend. When the plaintiff learned of the statements, he sued defendants Esqueda and Silver.

Injuries

The plaintiff alleged psychological and physical injuries that made him unable to work.
