Maryam Nili, a 40-year-old part time UC Berkeley student, was attempting to make a left turn on Solano Avenue in Berkeley, when she was rear-ended by Anna Gorodetsky, a law student. There was $800 in damages to Nili's car and $1,800 in damages to Gorodetsky's car. Nili reported neck pain to the officer at the scene. Gorodetsky contended that Nili told her she was fine at the scene. The defendant disputed reasonableness and necessity of treatment.
