Facts

On Aug. 13, 1993, plaintiff Elizabeth Shafrock Glasser, a 47-year-old attorney, was driving on Carbon Canyon Road in Chino Hills when defendant pulled out of his driveway. Plaintiff swerved to avoid defendant, crossed over to the other side of the road and hit a wall. The plaintiff brought this action against defendant based on a negligence theory of recovery.
