Plaintiff Christina McMillon was a 33-year-old salesperson for defendant Good Guys! Inc., an electronic retailer, where she had been employed for approximately 2+ years. Plaintiff claimed that between February and May 1996, her former supervisor sexually harassed her. Plaintiff complained to the human resources department and an investigation into the allegations ensued. Although plaintiff's allegations could not be corroborated, plaintiff's supervisor was terminated for other reasons discovered during the investigation. Plaintiff brought this action against defendant, alleging sexual harassment.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a C.C.P. º998 settlement demand for $99,500, increased to $250,000 at trial. The defendant made a C.C.P. º998 offer of compromise for $7,500.
