Facts

Plaintiff's mother had placenta previa and presented to Defendant obstetrician. When placenta previa bled, the mother underwent a C-section on April 12, 1989, and delivered the premature Plaintiff infant at approximately 32 weeks of gestation. Being premature, the baby had an increased risk of necrotizing enterocolitis. Plaintiff baby's bowel perforated, causing shock and cerebral hemorrhages. The Defendants were the attending physicians and the hospital nursing staff.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiff contends their demand was $2,000,000 and Defendants offered $1,175,000.
