Facts

Plaintiff infant was born on January 14, 1990, at Defendant hospital. The delivery was performed by the nurses with Defendant obstetrician arriving 20 minutes late. Plaintiff had 4-plus meconium at birth and thereafter developed respiratory distress. No pediatrician was called until several hours later, during which time the distress had become substantially worse; and the Plaintiff had developed meconium aspiration syndrome.
