Facts

On May 15, 1998, the defendant, driving westbound on the I-10 freeway in Palm Springs, made a lane change
from the number 1 to the number 2 lane. At about the same time, plaintiffs, trying to get out of the way of a
semi truck, changed from the number 3 to number 2 lane.
The vehicles contacted each other, causing plaintiffsÆ vehicle to spin back into the number 3 lane, where it
struck by the semi truck.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiffs demanded $295,000. The defendant offered $25,000 for all three plaintiffs.

Injuries
