Facts

On July 23, 1998, a double box trailer, pulled and owned by the defendant, had the rear box disconnect, flip over on side and came to rest blocking traffic on northbound Interstate 5 near Bakersfield. The plaintiffs husband and wife, in their late 60's struck the trailer at a low speed.
