Settlement – $2,775,000Facts
The plaintiff, age 47, was working as an independent truck driver, picking up a load of K-rails from the defendant and to be taken to a construction site. Six K-rails were to be loaded onto the truck bed. The defendants used L-hooks to load the K-rails onto the truck bed. During loading, an L-hook caught onto one of the K-rails causing it to move.
