Facts

On July 24, 2002, the plaintiff, a 50-year-old flight attendant, was driving her 1978 Volkswagen Beetle, through an intersection controlled by a standard tri-light signal when the defendant, operating his 2000 Ford Ranger on a perpendicular street, entered the intersection and collided with the plaintiff's vehicle. The plaintiff and the defendant each claimed that they had the green light.

Settlement Discussions

The case was settled at $500,000 after mediations with Michael Moorhead and retired Judge Irwin Nebron.
