Facts

Plaintiff Annie Snyder worked for a company retained by defendants Oracle Corp. and Oracle America Inc. to provide security services at its Santa Clara campus. She sued defendants after she tripped and fell while walking on a sidewalk on the campus.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that she tripped over a height differential on the sidewalk and that defendants were negligent in failing to maintain the sidewalk. Plaintiff asserted a premises liability claim.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants contended that the alleged defect was trivial because the height differential was less than one inch.

Result

The court granted defendant's motion for summary judgment.
