Plaintiff sued defendants for wrongful termination and related employment claims.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendants violated the Fair Employment and Housing Act by discriminating against her due to pregnancy and retaliating against her for complaining about the pregnancy-related discrimination and harassment.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants contended in their demurrer, that they were protected by FEHA's religious institution exemption.

Result

The court found that plaintiff lacked timely Title VII claims and sustained the demurrer without leave as to plaintiff's first, third, fifth, seventh, eighth, and ninth causes of actions. The demurrer was sustained without leave as to the second, fourth, and sixth causes of action.
