PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Schreier alleged that a city bus driver abruptly stopped the bus while driving at an unsafe speed and thereby caused Schreier to fall and injure her right leg.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: The defendants denied Schreier's allegations and argued, among other things, that it was immune from liability and that the bus driver abruptly stopped the bus in order to avoid hitting a biker that fell into traffic.
