PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff held patents to "mobile communications systems with moving base stations." In 2015, it learned that Novatel created mobile broadband hotspot devices (MiFi devices) being sold by AT&T and Verizon that infringed on plaintiff's patents. Plaintiff sued defendants for patent infringement.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied infringing plaintiff's patent.

Injuries

Carucel sought about $50 million in reasonable royalties.
