Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Yao contended that he was thrown from his bicycle, and landed on pavement, after riding over 4-inch raised pavement.

Injuries

Yao was rendered quadriplegic.

Result

The city settled with Yao for $7.5 million.
