Facts
On June 12, 2014, Gigi Perry filed an application for supplemental security income benefits. Perry's application was denied initially and on reconsideration. Perry then requested a hearing in front of the administrative law judge. The ALJ issued a decision denying Perry's application, and determined that Perry had the residual functional capacity to perform light work. Perry then brought suit against Nancy Berryhill over the denial of her application and determination that she was not disabled.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff alleged that the ALJ erred in relying on the vocational expert's testimony to determine that she could perform certain jobs in significant numbers in the national economy.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant asserted that the ALJ properly relied on the vocational expert's testimony because the testimony did not conflict with the Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
Result
The court affirmed defendant's decision of denying plaintiff's application and determining that plaintiff was not disabled.
