Facts

Tom Lee sought judicial review of a final decision by the Commissioner of Social Security denying his application for Disability Insurance Benefits under Title II of the Social Security Act.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Lee alleged that the Administrative Law Judge erred in its denial of disability insurance benefits. Lee argued that the ALJ erred in discounting his credibility, inappropriately discounted the medical opinion of physicians, and lacked substantial evidence to support his decision.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: The Commissioner denied the allegations.

Result

The court denied Lee's motion for summary judgment and granted Commissioners cross-motion for summary judgment. The court also affirmed Commissioner's final decision to deny Lee's disability insurance application. The court explained that the ALJ properly evaluated all the evidence thus there was substantial evidence to support his decision. the ALJ also provided very specific and valid reasons for discounting Lee's testimony and the physicians' opinions.
