Facts
Plaintiff Preston Plaugher sought judicial review of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security denying his application for disability insurance benefits.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that the ALJ failed to articulate clear and convincing reasons for rejecting plaintiffs testimony. Additionally, plaintiff contended that the ALJ erred in concluding that the medical treatment records and the lack of support of treating or examining physicians for plaintiff's alleged impairments limited plaintiffs credibility.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended that the ALJ concluded that plaintiff had the residual functional capacity to perform a wide range of light work. Defendant alleged that although plaintiff's treatment was well documented, the record did not support his allegations of disabling symptoms despite the treatment he received.
Result
The court reversed and remanded to the Commissioner for further proceedings.
