Michelle Gomez and Roberto Gonzalez filed suit against the County of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services, and Thomas Flores in relation to a vehicular collision that occurred on April 14, 2016, in the City of Commerce.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that they were stopped at an intersection in Commerce when they were rear-ended by a Los Angeles Department of Social Services employee Flores in a delivery truck. Plaintiffs alleged this collision caused them physical injuries.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants disputed the allegations of wrongdoing.

Result

The parties reached a settlement agreement, with defendants agreeing to pay $67,500 to settle plaintiffs' claims.
