Jessica Hodges sued the County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services in relation to the detainment of her children.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Hodges contended that defendant violated her constitutional rights when social workers detained her children.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the contentions. The minors were detained after the juvenile court issued a warrant for the minors' removal after one of the minors disclosed physical abuse in the home.

Result

The parties reached a settlement agreement for $350,000.
