Plaintiff filed a lawsuit against Uriah Products LLC in relation to its alligator clips.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendant's product contained a chemical known to cause cancer without providing adequate warnings under Proposition 65.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the contentions.

Result

The parties entered into a consent judgment where defendant agreed to pay $2,700 in civil penalties and $26,800 in attorney fees. Additionally, defendant agreed to provide warnings and reformulate its product.
