Charles Cooley, Grady Anderson, and Nicholas Marone filed a wage and hour class action lawsuit against their former employer, Indian River Transport.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that Indian River failed to inform its drivers that they were entitled to be paid for meal or rest breaks. Additionally, they contended Indian River did not compensate them for rest breaks and other times they were performing work duties but not driving. Lastly, they contended that Indian River provided them with inaccurate wage statements.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the contentions.

Result

The parties reached a settlement agreement in the amount of $1.4 million.
