Plaintiff Hanover Insurance Co. ASO YWX Holdings Inc. filed suit against City and County of San Francisco in relation to San Francisco's sewage draining system.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that the property it insured was continuously damaged due to rainwater backup up because of defendant's failure to maintain its sewage drainage system. Plaintiff was required to pay its insureds an amount that may exceed $72,132.76 for damages resulting from the incident.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant neither admitted nor denied the allegations.

Result

The parties settled for $62,500.
