Facts

P. Stephen Lamont filed a lawsuit against David Krane, Google Ventures, Alphabet Inc. and Google LLC in relation to software product designs.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Lamont contended that he was the inventor of four software product designs and owned all rights, title and interest of the assets. He further claimed that Krane was given his patent and product ideas at a meeting without a non-disclosure agreement. Lamont contended that defendants unlawfully acquired his trade secrets from that meeting.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS: Defendants denied the contentions.

Result

The court granted defendants' motion to dismiss because Lamont lacked a sufficiently pleaded claim under the Defend Trade Secrets Act.
