Facts
Plaintiff Donna Murphy applied for disability insurance benefits and supplemental social security income under the Social Security Act. Murphy then requested a hearing before an administrative law judge, who determined that Murphy suffered from the severe impairments of a right knee meniscus tear and degenerative disc disease of the lumbar spine, but was not disabled. Murphy filed for judicial review.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff contended that defendant erred in finding that plaintiff was not disabled and further argued that defendant improperly concluded that plaintiff's testimony was not credible.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant denied the allegations and contended that the finding that plaintiff's testimony was not credible was supported by sufficient evidence.
Result
The court entered judgment affirming defendant's finding that plaintiff was not disabled on the ground that defendant's findings were supported by substantial evidence.
