Plaintiff Rafi Kourounian, a 24-year veteran tax auditor of the California Board of Equalization, filed a lawsuit against his employer for retaliation, after having filed one or more age/race discrimination complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission office of the BOE in 2013.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiff claimed that after filing of the EEOC complaints, his supervisors retaliated against him in many ways, including preventing him from any prospects of advancements or promotions. Plaintiff claimed lack of promotions for the past six years.
