Anthony Shamrell, Daryl Rysdyk, Jeffrey Muse, and other similarly situated iPhone purchasers filed a lawsuit against Apple, Inc. over issues with their iPhones.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS: Plaintiffs contended that the power button on the iPhone 4, 4s, and 5 did not work properly. Plaintiffs contended that the alleged defect rendered their phones inoperable and unfit for its intended purpose.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS: Defendant contended that there was no defect with the power button. Defendant contended that the phones worked as specified.

Result

The parties agreed to a settlement. Defendant agreed to pay $20 million to satisfy the plaintiff's claims.
